TALES FROM THE BUS
Well, here we are again, with our third release by the JukeBox Babies titled, "TALES FROM THE BUS", a reference to a childrens book written for adults by Harry B. during his college days as an assignment when he was studying Advertising and Commercial Art. Harry ended up writing a series of short stories and illustrating them about some of the adventures he had with his friends in his VW micro bus. Since a lot of the bands used to include stand-ups, newspapers, posters, and assorted inserts in their albums back in the day, we thought it only appropriate that we do something like that for our fans in this day and age. Since CD packaging doesn't include much room for that sort of thing, we decided to post them on this website. So, included on this website will be some of those short stories along with the original illustrations. Hope you enjoy them. They will be added as time permits so bear with us on that.
We have decided to release these songs in alphabetical order.
If you think you've heard it all, think again. Taking off where CD # 2, "One Step Over" left off, "Tales From The Bus" starts out rocking. NO, that's not the theme from Peter Gun you're hearing, but it is in that style and get your attention it does.
Grab your AIR GUITAR and sing along. But this CD is not all about Rockin' , it has a variety as the JukeBox Babies are known for. It has a song for the Christmas season, a song that takes us back to the school yard complete with Kazoos just like the kids used to play. There are songs you might think were written by some of the more popular British bands of that era, but keep in mind, these are new songs written by Harry B. for the JukeBox Babies so you've not heard them before.
Songs like "BE BACK", "GIRL OF MINE", "LOVELY BRIDGETT" AND "PRETTY FACE". And get out those dancing shoes and get ready for songs like "IN THESE TEARS". You fans of songs that feature the 60's Organ sounds might be surprised when you hear two organs at the same time creating a new classic with the "WHALER'S SONG". Then sit back and enjoy Harry's acoustic and vocals on "WHAT BECAME OF ME", And "TOMORROW". You might want to rethink about going out after dark after you hear "NOT IN A MILLION", full of graveyard ghouls dancing the Charleston and they're coming after YOU! Yes YOU, heads spinning and all.
With 19 songs on this CD, there's plenty of what Harry B. and the JukeBox Babies are known for and that's VARIETY. Some have called them the original MIX TAPE band because they mix it up. But don't take your friends word for it, listen for yourself and you'll quickly become a fan too.
